Lauren's Journey

LQ Magazine catches up with Lauren Hopkins

“Ever since I was ten years old, I’ve wanted to do modelling. It’s my dream to have a modelling career,” Lauren explains. It’s very rare to meet a teenager who knows exactly what they want to do in the future, but for Lauren, her heart is set and her future goals are more clear than ever.

After entering a national competition entitled Miss Teen Model UK, Lauren’s dream of success is getting even closer, with her being the runner up of the competition - a great achievement for a first time entry.

Lauren who attends Wrenn School proudly represented Wellingborough in the finals of the competition. It was a massive learning curve and insight into the world of modelling for Lauren. “We had to do hair and make up ourselves. We had to walk down the catwalk and pose at the end. We also had to answer questions. There was 3 category winners: Miss Teen Personality, Miss Teen Hair and Miss Teen Dress.”

Despite narrowly missing out on the crown for the Miss Teen UK competition, Lauren thoroughly enjoyed the experience which made her even more determined to succeed leading to a second opportunity with the International Beauty Pageant: The Face of The Globe.

Lauren decided to enter the competition and it was definitely a great decision. Lauren got through to the regional heats for her category and was crowned ‘Miss Charity’ for raising the most amount of money for the Rainbow Child Foundation Charity! Rainbow Child Foundation is a non-profit organization that prides itself on giving 100% of its profits to helping underprivileged children around the world. “I felt shocked having my name called out,” Lauren recalls as she was won the title.

Lauren’s parents; Julie Coles and Nathan Hopkins are extremely proud of their daughter. “I’ll support her every step of the way and I’ll be there to guide her in the right direction. I’m overwhelmed by all the help and support she’s received locally,” Julie explains.

If Lauren gets sponsored, she will get to go to Disneyland Paris in October. Whilst there, she will get to compete with all the finalists from around the world for The Face of The Globe World Finals. We would like to wish Lauren the best of luck!
