Strictly Fun Fitness with MB Body Motive

 

During the long, arduous dance training sessions that are an integral part of Britain’s most successful entertainment show, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, Natalie Lowe, Ian Waite and Mark Foster formed a great idea. They decided to mix together, for the first time, the graceful steps of Ballroom and the up-tempo steps of the Latin dances to create a really fun, energetic and effective way to get fit fast that would appeal to everyone, even if they couldn’t dance. 

After working closely with a group of hand picked fitness professionals to ensure that the programme really delivers great fitness results, FitSteps® was born – a dance fitness programme that is ‘so much fun you don’t even realise you’re getting fit!’ 

 

FitSteps is based around twelve of the most popular ballroom and Latin dances. The workout combines dances such as the Cha Cha, Rumba, Salsa, Jive, Quickstep, Waltz, Paso Doble, Samba, and Tango, making it a fun and energetic experience from start to finish. The dances have been designed to work for all age groups, and all levels of ability and fitness!

Mark Bailey of MB Body Motive is one of the first accredited instructors in the UK trained personally by Natalie and Ian, and this will be one of the very first official FitSteps® classes available in our local area. Mark explains: “It was great meeting Natalie & Ian. They’re really lovely people. What they’re trying to do is get people active and spread that passion of dance.”

With health problems such as obesity, arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiorespiratory failure on the rise, it’s more important now than ever to exercise and keep fit and healthy.

 

In spite of the success of other popular dance fitness workouts, there is a still significant gap between the numbers who need to exercise and socialise and those who do. The need for a popular, fun, easy to learn, socially orientated, exercise class is huge, and FitSteps® certainly ticks all the right boxes!
